Estimate the number of calories you burn during hundreds of activities, from high-intensity workouts like running and cycling to everyday household chores.
Our calculator uses a widely accepted method based on a value called the **Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET)**. A MET value represents the energy cost of a specific physical activity compared to resting metabolism. For instance, an activity with a MET of 1 is equivalent to the energy you expend just sitting still. An activity with a MET of 5 means you are burning five times more energy than you would at rest.
Calories Burned per Minute = (MET Value × Body Weight in kg × 3.5) ÷ 200
We multiply this per-minute value by the duration of your activity to provide an accurate estimate of your total energy expenditure. This method allows for a personalized calculation based on your weight and chosen activity.
Disclaimer: This is an estimate for informational purposes. Actual calories burned can be influenced by factors like age, sex, body composition, and intensity, which are not accounted for in this calculation.

Estimates energy expenditure for a selected activity over a chosen duration.
The calculator combines body weight, duration and the activity intensity value configured for the selected activity to estimate calories burned. The calculation uses body weight, activity type and duration.
Actual energy expenditure varies with intensity, fitness, technique, terrain, temperature and individual physiology. Use the number as an estimate and consider professional advice when the result may affect health, treatment, pregnancy, nutrition, exercise safety or another important decision.
